Wind Direction against time

Playing around with some code from ages ago, a plot of the average wind direction against time (radial direction, latest at the outside)

Am I right in assuming north is at 12 o'clock, east is at 3 o'clock etc etc ?

Yes, I didn't add the directions to the mock-up. I'm doing a very rough 10 minute average from the 3,600 element wind array that Cumulus provides - assuming that every 6th element corresponds to 1 minute in time (FO is read every 10 seconds).
