Wrong dayfile.txt

Post by pablo712 »

Hi guys

I'm new in the weather station theme. I just bought a generic station Sinometer WS1081

Set log every 5 min for testing
Station is on the ground, no posible movement of the windspeed sensor, ans a move somethimes of the wind direction, no rain.

The log for a day or so, show correctly no wind at all (jun12log.txt) data seems in order with the monthheader
The dayfile.txt show messed up values, for example some winds when ther was none, show high heat index as 1013,0 (that should be a pressure thing), also show 91 and 88 as high/low dew point (when that is max/min rel humity)

I have the lastest version 1.9.2 and all default with "fine offset (WH1080 etc)" in station

Attached both files

Thanks in advance for your inputs!!

Regards,
Pablo

You have the list separator and decimal separator on your system both set to a comma. This can't work, Cumulus can't tell where one number starts and finishes. Normally, in countries which use commas for decimals, they use a semicolon for a list separator. You'll need to change one or the other in the Windows regional settings.

Thank you very much steve!! Was very easy to acomplish then I deleted all and started again, then I changed the start date and Cumulus download again all the memory in the station. Now dayfile is perfect!! :)
I would never found out for myself :) I spent 3 hours triying to solve it in very imaginative ways with no results.

Now that the data in cumulus is consistent is time to move forward to graphs and web updates....I see there are plenty info on that in this usefull forum.

Thank you again Steve, you solved my headache with 2 lines of text
