Cumulus Support

You insert your ftp details in the Internet settings under the Configuration menu.
Click on the red error light to see what the error is.
There no need to put anything in the easyweather.dat.

If you were a pain I wouldn't be having this conversation with you so don't worry - you're not. It's something many of us have had to do and I also struggled to get to grips with it.

Here are my settings. I would use FTPHOST.RHYLWEATHER.GLOVINE.COM and not the temporary values.

Ok done that whats next now I am being a pain, you no 3 years ago before I had my accident and lost my left hand an apart of my arm it all did something to my brain I don't remember things and I also block a lot of things from my head it's a bit like today I thought I had to go out to phisio because I have also fluid on my lungs got all ready to go only for my wife to tell me it was not untill next week, This is wh I really appreciate all the help you guys are giving me.

Done what? Please be specific. I understand and sympathise with your situation. Losing a hand must be traumatic. The more info you can give us the more it helps us to help you.

Have you read the instructions in the link provided by Matt?

Have you copied those files and folders to your server?

That is all I have done so far not sure what to copy or to do with filezilla

Errors on red light FTP connect error,error code= 530
also FTP connect timeout

Sounds like you have done almost everything. Read the section titled 'Core Files' on this link. http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Simple_Website_setup

You need to copy files and folders from your Cumulus setup to the server using FileZilla. Once you've done that you should be smokin'

From what you said above the Host name should be "ftphost.rhylweather.freeglovine.com" not "ftp.rhylweather.freeglovine.com"

FTP error 530 = Invalid Login

Well spotted Mark. Are these entries case-sensitive? If so I assume lower case should be used throughout.

Thanks Ray I will give that a go thanks for all your help hopefully you will no what the weather is up to in South Rhyl.

It was very traumatic loosing my hand it was 3 years yesterday while useing a chop saw I turned to shout at the dog and the saw took my hand clean off, they did put it back on but It did not work so on the 16 of dec the same year it was tacken back off I have never been the same as I was a coach driver all my life.
I have changed that host name now to ftphost.rhylweather.freeglovine.com all has been done in lower case

Hi Geoff,

That sounds absolutely horrific. I can understand how it would have traumatised you especially when they hd to take it off 6 months later. But the human body is extremely adaptable and over time I hope you will cope better.

I still can't see any weather info on this link. Have you copied those files over yet?

Steve, none of that makes any sense to me but I notice you used ftp instead of ftphost. Might that make a difference?

It says that the 'ftphost' version doesn't exist: "ftphost.rhylweather.freeglovine.com: Non-existent domain"

Okay. So what needs changing to make it work?

Hi I'm just looking at it now if I get any problems I will get back to you I have changed host name back to just
ftp.rhylweather.freeglovine.com. I think thats what the last post was saying.
