Today, I show work in progress for Template Module Manager!
This new module will be included in all Weather by You's templates...
but for now, Weather Sky will be the 1st lucky one!

This module will always keep your template uo-to-date, easily!
All pages will be updated safely, because YOU choose which page
you want to update and wihich ones you want to look at bedore!

This module will manage your template in 4 diffrent ways:

- Web Pages, one by one to protect you customized pages.
- Page content files: add data to your site, without risk!
- Language filesL add new languages or corrected words fastly!
- New pages: for... v1.9.3... for new graphs, new gauges... and so on!

Thanks to highlight those errors.
Some of them are due to the fact that I don't switch strings.ini
Then, some words stay in English... I'm too lazy to switch all of them!
(15 pages x 12 langueges + 12 strings.ini = Ohhhh boy!! )

For text around gauges (Wind speed, Real-time wind data...), it is provided
by Flash gauges... and not editables!

But others are errors/mistakes... Thanks to have taked time to highlight them.
(just in time... today was supposed to be THE day for 1st final updatable template!)

After some weeks in Beta state, Weather Sky template has reached maturity!

Official release version 1.0
- Added template manager module
- New Night and Day weather icon set
- Added better support for UTF-8 Cumulus data file

Well, I cannot say/write that I am very impressed with the new Weather Sky template set.

Before the first page is even displayed, PHP displays the following error message: "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in wt_data_inc.php on line 540" - that rapidly tells me the pages were not well tested or were tested with the PHP error messages suppressed!

I looked inside the 'wt_data_inc.php' template at the line reported in the message and the code is not only wrong for line 540, it is also wrong for the following 17 lines (ie: from line 540 to and including line 557) - the same wrong code is used inside the 'wt_data.intl.php' template (ie: from line 540 to and including line 557)!

Just curious, why are no check made for the presence/absence of the important required files/scripts/templates?

I am also curious as to why the menus are not translated to the chosen language...

I might not be the usual 'standard' station operator, I might not be the least knowledgeable web site programmer, and I might be somewhat (a lot) picky ... But, when I looked at the code in the different templates, I am dismayed at what I see!

Does no one realise that many people are trying to learn web programming and one way to increase their knowledge is to look at the code provided by a web designer. It is no wonder that the quality of web page design has been rapidly deteriorating...

Jacques, do not be such an idiot - I am not a god nor are you.

The comments were constructive ... you have just released a set of templates that was not ready for release!

Under all/any types of operation, PHP should NOT (as in never) display any error, as in zero error! It appears the templates were tested with the display of errors switched off - very amateurish (not to write very unprofessional as you probably do not consider yourself a professional web page designer)!

Come on Jacques, the second template to be loaded (after the language one), the main data template, the templates used by (almost) all the pages, has 18 lines with errors!

Sorry, but that is not acceptable. The template set should immediately be remove from distribution until the code has been cleaned so PHP can interpret the code without producing any error message!

I don't know where you found those errors, I've double check all projects!

Things are done as it have to!
- E_ALL is used all time during development!
But I refer you to "Official Php manual on Runtime best practice : http://php.net/manual/en/errorfunc.configuration.php
"E_ALL should never be used on production systems"

Then, YOU have to add it if you absolutely want to be able to critisic publicly!

I'm using Virtual environment for testing, with WAMP and xDebug.
For writing code I use Firefox with FireBug, Web Developper and HTML Validator.

You dislike Sunny Weather because it isn't HTML5
You find Night/Day (58 icons) set not on accurate
You've found supposed errors on WB2
Tou came on Weather by You forum to critic, always publicly!

But you, what are you doing? (apart critical) ???
You're using other's stuff (Saratoga template... Google -near- translate)

I already concluded with you earlier... I work with newbies and I'm not interested
to fight against you!

Jacques, I think you are confusing things!

I understand the error setting in PHP, I have been using PHP for the last 6+ years. I also use the PHP Xdebug extension. On my development computer where I write, first install and test new scripts/templates, the PHP (version 5.4.4) is set to display all PHP errors, including startup and HTML errors - the settings for that computer are 'error_reporting = E_ALL'.

On my online computer, the PHP (also version 5.4.4) is set to only display PHP fatal run-time errors - the settings for that computer are 'error_reporting = E_ERROR' - so I obviously know that the 'E_ALL' setting should only be used on a development computer (such as the computer used to evaluate the Weather Sky templates).

Then, YOU have to add it if you absolutely want to be able to critisic publicly!

I really cannot make sense of what you are trying to say/write!

Since you have officially and publicly released the Weather Sky templates, why should I not be able to use the same public forum to comment (or even to criticize) what I believe is second class work! I am not an 'ombudsman' in any way, but I cannot accept that less knowledgeable people be 'offered' an incomplete package.

Jacques, I cannot make sense of what you wrote - all I can say/write is that you are an arrogant man that cannot take comments (or criticism) without jumping on the defensive.
