The Sinorca Gradient templates come in 2 different available color theme's to choose from..

I am using the "Gray" and that can be downloaded here:

http://capmex.biz/resources/sinorca-gradient-gray

and the Blue one can be downloaded here:

Thank's for the kind words on my site....Chris

Hello again...

I used the Gray Sinorca Gradient templates to create this entire website:

http://www.northcarverweather.com/

..which belongs to a friend of mine, but he is not using cumulus, instead he is using Weather Display.

My Main Weather Website also is using Weather Display, along with many PHP Scripts and the AJAX/PHP Templates. see link below for my main weather site.

I gotta say Chris those sites are outstanding - I really like the clean, professional look of your Cumulus site. 8-)

A few things that are impressive that I would really like to see on my website;

The auto-updating banner showing changes in green (North Carver)
Astronomy (North Carver)
AccuWeather Map (North Carver)
METAR (Both)
Radar (Both)
Weather Channel Map (Both)
Satellite (Cape Cod)

Do all of those use PHP or other 'fancy' tricks?

Thanks & regards,
-=Glyn=-

Glyn, I think they might all be php

but I am quite interested in trying to get a hold of the Sun & Moon one myself in html if it is at all possible.

Hello GlynH.......

A Qestion for you first......where is your website? a link to it? I can not see a link to your website either in your profile or in your signature and just wanted to check it out.

to answer your questions:

1. The Auto updating banner is part of the ajax templates. on both site also the dashboard on homepages flashes with ajax data every 4-5 seconds. the dashboard is the box full of data on homepages of both sites. on my site it flashes red, and on the carver site it flashes green. this is configurable to user's choice of color's, but originally comes set to use green. I switched the color on my west wareham, ma/gateway2capecod site to red, so that it blends well with the rest of my site color's. although it would look ok if I had left it green.

2. Astronomy..is actually on my gateway2capecod site also, not just on the carver site. to see it you just need to go to LEFT SIDE Navigation>Sun/Moon link. It contains additional info at bottom part of the page related to the Moon. see it here:
http://www.gateway2capecod.com/wxastronomy.php
These astronomy pages are also part of the Ajax templates, and get their data from weather display software Tags.

3> Accuweather Map is just taken from accuweather website and the link for it is here:
http://sirocco.accuweather.com/sat_mosa ... isarNE.gif

4. Metar pages..are a PHP Script and can be read about here:
http://woody.cowpi.com/phpscripts/
(it is the one on page link above that says "GetWX")

5.RADAR..I am guessing you mean the weather underground radar maps on both sites. It is part of the ajax templates also. I also do have GRLEVEL3 radar on my site, which is not free, but is very good Radar.

6.Weather Channel Map....It is only on the homepage of the carver site. I dont have it on my own site anywhere. It is a Google Gadget, simply used on that page by using the code provided. To use or get it, search on google gadgets page for it under "Radar". It is free to use.

7.Satellite..Is just an Image That I iframed into that page. It is also free to use and the link to it is here, but you need to iframe it into your page..
http://www.ssec.wisc.edu/data/us_comp/image7.jpg

The ajax templates can be used with VWS or Weather Display Software and a weather station that is supported by either software. There are html, and also PHP Ajax Templates Available for use and they can be read about and downloaded here, under the "Scripts" section of page:
http://saratoga-weather.org/index.php

Hopefully I have answered all of your questions, but if you need more answers or help, just let me know and Ill do my best to answer anymore you may have.

I am also unsure of what weather station you currently own, and depending on which it is, will determine if you will be able to use VWS or Weather Display Software with it, so when you reply back , let me know what station you are using.

I myself have the Davis VP2 with Solar Senor and for most part Run it with Weather Display Software for my main site, along with numerous individual PHP script's throughout the entire 20 page site.

I decided to install Cumulus, just to test it out and see what it is all about. I also wanted to see how it runs, if left running 24/7, and so far for me it has been running fine and uploading the data to my cumulus pages every 15 minutes. I also plan to leave it running side by side with Weather display and my main weather site for a while and follow along with any future developments that steve release's. Once he releases Cumulus 2..I will also give that a try. I know this software doesnt offer as much at the current time as VWS or Weather Display Software does, but think steve is doing a great job on it so far.

That will be http://www.glyn.me/weather then... ;)

Ajax? Might as well be rocket science to me Chris...

I did see the Sun/Moon on your own website but liked the look of the other one without the additional info better...sorry.

gateway2capecod wrote: 3> Accuweather Map is just taken from accuweather website and the link for it is here:

Thanks for that...I'll take a look.

PHP? Rules that out for me then as I don't believe there is an easy/reliable way to run PHP on my Windows Home Server which is where I host my own websites for the moment while I am testing.
gateway2capecod wrote: 5.RADAR..I am guessing you mean the weather underground radar maps on both sites. It is part of the ajax templates also. I also do have GRLEVEL3 radar on my site, which is not free, but is very good Radar.
Aah...Ajax again.

I'll give that a go then...

iFrame? I can do that...

I will have to investigate this Ajax a bit further then...

I have the El Cheapo Fine Offset/Watson/Maplin/Easy Weather/My Del/Elecsa clone with the appalling LCD screen contrast here! The display looks nothing like that printed on the box or in the adverts...

I really want the same setup as you...one day I hope. 8-)

Cumulus is great isn't it?

I actually downloaded WD first and tried it with METAR but looking at all those options just blew me away totally.

I also didn't like the look & feel - it was far too cluttered for my liking.

Cumulus fits the bill perfectly and its beauty is in its clean, uncluttered interface and excellent look & feel.

Must get round to donating...

Thanks again for taking the time to respond in detail Chris and keep up the good work!

Kind regards,
-=Glyn=-

If you really are running v185, that would explain why your dusk / dawn times aren't showing ;)
