WH-3081 Pressure Display

Post by balochile »

I have just purchased a WH-3081 and believe I have setup everything as per the manual.
There are two issues relating to the display on the monitor unit which I am not sure are "normal" and I would appreciate anybody's help and guidance.

Firtsly, the pressure history chart which consists of several columns composed of lcd bars appears to be animated. i.e. the bars in the rhs column display, then the next column and so on until they are all displayed. They then all disappear and start over. I figured that this may be happening because I have just started the unit and it does not have a 12 hour history of barometric readings to draw a full graph of the pressure trend and consequently it performs this animated display until a trend can be displayed. However 12 hours have passed and it still displays the same way although there is variation in column heights which would suggest it is showing the pressure variation. Can I expect this display to continue to be animated in this way or is there a setting I can adjust?

Secondly, the trending display i.e. the graphical representation of the current weather eg clouds at night, rain in day etc also constantly flashes (blinks on and off). Any ideas if this continual flashing can be turned off? Do I have an incorrect setting?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

The answer to your first question is YES, all the others NO. That's the way FO (or their marketing men) think a weather display should look.

Cheers, Alan.

Thanks Alan

Pity. Happy with the unit apart from all this flashing/blinking. Just too Hollywood for me!

Thanks again.
