Hello,
After thinking about it, Maplin's £50 offer swayed me and I've installed a 1081 down the end of my garden. Checking it makes a nice distraction sometimes, even though the temperature sensor suffers from solar heating so I need to find a stack of plates to screen it.
Could do with some trimming down of unreported entries on the web page but Rome wasn't built in a day. Or for £50.

Is FatCat a place, or is that you? And are you so big you have your own weather system?
You might want to add some text which says where you are for those who don't want to fire up Google Earth to find out.

Hatch Warren is half-way between London and Southampton. I agree that a location is essential especially for weather stations.

We have some unusual place names in the UK. Six Mile Bottom is one that springs to mind. That's in Suffolk if my memory serves me correctly. Brown Willy is a hill in Cornwall.

I hope I haven't started something!
