When I first set up my 3080 I chose a north facing position, with the solar pod facing south and transmitter north. All was well with temperatures until May this year. Now the sun is in the north east first thing, and temperatures had become silly. I have a check sensor in the shade, and at 6.00am the 3080 was 7 degrees above check sensor, and the temp graph in cumulus liked like a vertical line until 11.00am when it levelled off 3 degrees above check sensor. I have now come up with a solar screen as shown in attached photos. The 3080 readings are now 1.5/1.0 degrees ahead of check sensor until 11.00am. Between 11.00am and 3.00pm they are within 0.6 degree, and then the 3080 lags the check sensor by around 1.0 degree until around 7.00pm when it’s the same again. As I write this at 2.35pm the check sensor in the shade is 26.0 degrees and the 3080 is 26.3 degrees. A couple of improvements I hadn’t expected, the humidity is no longer at desert levels, and the UV has changed. I have had to alter my UV multiplier of 0.33 to 0.45 to get readings around what’s expected.
Items used were; a 5L plastic emulsion can / 9mm upvc fascia offcut / 150mm frame ties from screwfix / ss bolts and washers / white gloss / matt black paint.

Looks really good - I'm especially impressed with the acuracy of the ventilation holes!
I might suggest placing window screen or similar over the bottom though, to keep out the birds and bees...
