Condition Icon

Post by JohnDon »

Hi Everybody

On the map http://46.22.128.227/mesomap/ my weather station which is on the bottom right Carne Beach, takes its condition icon from another station. How do I produce my own icon. Am I missing something

Thanks
John

I'm afraid I have no idea what that is and how it relates to Cumulus. What I can say is that Cumulus has no way of knowing what the current conditions are from the data from your weather station, so that site would presumably use the nearest METAR or similar. Perhaps someone else will be able to offer some insight.

In this case the (Norwegian style) meso map is taking your current conditions from:
Current conditions taken from Rossfare
a nearby station.

As Steve says Cumulus does not attempt to report "Current" conditions unlike some softwares that magically suggest it is clear, or scattered cloud, or foggy, or .....

In the Mesomap architecture it is up to the administrator whether current conditions are reported from the stations, or closest METAR, or a combination.
