Cumulus Support

hi there,
need help.cumulus works great but after i turn my computer off and then back on the day after,the data between that period wont upload.it did for the first day or so that i had this program but i havent touched anything and now between 10pm last night when i turned off my computer and 4pm now i turned my computer back on theres nothing
i turned the computer off again and back on 730pm and it uploaded all data inbetween and graphed accordingly.
i own a vantage vue using the weatherlink IP data logger and the weatherlink program updates all data from when ever i turned my computer off last so im not quite sure whats going on with cumulus? hope i can fix this cause its only about 10 times better than weatherlink.

When you started Cumulus at 16:37, the Davis DLL was apparently able to make the TCP/Ip connection to the station, but was unable to communicate with it to initialise itself:

5/23/2012 16:37:29.812 : VP2: OpenTCPIPPort_V, res = 0
5/23/2012 16:37:36.468 : VP2: InitStation_V, res = -32701

You then did something in the station settings, and it was then able to initialise:

5/23/2012 16:39:17.968 : begin updating station settings
5/23/2012 16:39:18.000 : Writing cumulus.ini file
5/23/2012 16:39:18.000 : Writing cumulus.ini file
5/23/2012 16:39:18.015 : VP2: CloseCommPort_V, res = 1
5/23/2012 16:39:18.015 : VP2: Open connection, type = 2
5/23/2012 16:39:19.031 : VP2: OpenTCPIPPort_V, res = 0
5/23/2012 16:39:21.859 : VP2: InitStation_V, res = 0

It didn't try to download the logger data as it only does this when it first starts. It's probably best to restart Cumulus if the DLL can't talk to the station, to avoid this happening (I note that it happened again at 17:05).

Currently Cumulus only tries the 'initialise' once; it's probably worth putting some retries in.

whats the best way to restart? do you mean delete cumulus off my computer then redownload it?.
this is strange because the first day i got the program it worked the day after fine.and as i said weatherlink still works fine to date aswell

Close it down and start it up again.
