Hi Steve,
Since this morning my yesterday info on the Cumulus main page is empty (see attachment). An error showed a "floating point error in line 10 of dayfile.txt".
Checked everything and all seems OK (including yesterday.ini file). The website just shows 0.0 or -555 for all numbers from yesterday. Is there a way to initialize these files (don't want to lose all data from this month since I started to use Culmuls).
Thanks
Arthur

Re: No data from Yesterday-File
The cause is likely to be a 'failed rollover', possibly connected with the error you mention. Have you looked at line 10 of dayfile.txt to see what the problem is? If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, along with your dayfile.txt, I'll take a look.
Note that the 'yesterday' data is transient anyway, so will correct itself without any loss of data. The important thing to fix is dayfile.txt and determine why the problem happened in the first place.

Re: No data from Yesterday-File
Hi Steve,
Thanks for your message. In the mean time this problem solved itself with a correct roll-over at midnight (May 16 - 17).
Today is May 17, and when I look into the dayfile.txt on Cumulus main screen, the last recorded date is 16/05/12. No trace of 17/05/12. Even in C:/Cumulus/data/dayfile there is no line 17/05/12. Do I have to manually add this, so my date recording is up-to-date?
Thanks,
Arthur

Re: No data from Yesterday-File
Entries in dayfile.txt are added at the end of the day, so on 17th May there wouldn't be an entry for 17th May.
But there's something odd about your dayfile.txt. I don't understand why your entries are out of order; the entries for the 14th and 15th appear to be identical; and why are the entries for 4th/5th/6th missing? If you zip up the diags folder and your dayfile.txt, I'll take a look.

Re: No data from Yesterday-File
Hi Steve,
Please find attached Diags and Dayfile in zip format. I started to use Cumulus on May 7, however since we had a significant rainfall on May 3 (19.2mm) I added this to make the month total more accurate. I added a line into dayfile.txt and since then the data is out of order. Let me know what you think.
Thanks.
FYI: Donation is on its way from Canada!

Re: No data from Yesterday-File
It looks OK, apart from that duplicate entry. This looks like a bug, which manifested itself when you restarted Cumulus between midnight and 0100; it thought it needed to do the rollover, but it had already been done. I have code for other station types to cater for this situation, but not for the WMR200, so I'll have to look at fixing that. In the meanwhile, try to avoid restarting Cumulus between midnight and 0100.
