Well the 1-wire to Cumulus weather station is finally on the air. You can check it out here:

Comments / suggestions welcome!

Hi Charlie,
Living in Ontario myself (Toronto) I think you're altitude input is slightly wrong. I wasn't aware we have places in Ontario at 1600 m. For the rest, looks good!!
Cheers,
Arthur

I found this line curious... "Forecast: Precipitation, very unsettled. POP 97%"
At first I thought it was to do with the population of your town!

But after thinking a bit more decided it stands for "Probability of Precipitation". If I'm right spelling it out in full might make it more meaningful to non-Canadians.

Thanks for pointing it out. It was 542 feet on my GPS and I converted it to meters this morning - not noticing the decimal got removed. Being close to Ottawa, the air is thin enough around here

Actually, 97 might just be the population of Clayton

- but yes "Probability of Precipitation". I did not know this was purely a Canadian term. It's certainly useful... but spelling it out seems to make the lines too long. Maybe I'll put a definition on the page somewhere.
Geez - POP, Humidex, what else did we invent than nobody else uses?

Just wondering if the your all time records are correct. - 40 for lowest temp and 58 for highest temp. Just seems quite extreme.

Good catch! -40 is correct (-39.8), but the high was an error from when I was using the Fine Offset that I missed removing. The actual value should be 37.6. Not that big as highs go, but feels brutal with high humudity.
I suspect that once I'm confident in the reliability of the new station, I'll archive the old data and start fresh. So far, I'm really pleased with the numbers compared to local stations, and if you believe the spec sheets, it should rival professional gear. To be fair, the F.O. did well with acuracy on many parameters too, (when working).
I'm still using the old F.O. anemometer and wind vane, but with a new module to collect the data. I'm not sure what to replace it with just yet. The modified vane is better than stock, but still not great.
I also need to figure out how to post the UV data, although right now my light and UV sensors are in a poor location, so I'd just be posting poor data anyway.
As you can imagine, I've been more focused on designing and building the station than on tweaking my Cumulus install, since Cumulus is pretty much what most people want, right out of the box.

Good to see it going well and I glad you didn't really have the 58 degreees.
