Meteor showers etc ..

Post by Mapantz »

Hi guys.

This one is for Steve ..
I just wondered, since you can pull the forecast from the vantage vue, is it possible to pull the info about eclipses, equinoxes, meteor showers and solstices?
It would be great to have that showing on the fronbt of Cumulus somewhere, and have webtages for them.
I could have a section on the index page saying 'Astronomical events' with either None. Or the relevant information.

Regards. :)

Not as far as I am aware. There is nothing in the interface document about this.

Find a website that delivers that information in a RSS feed and put it into your website.

If you use the Saratoga templates (can't see a link to your site) then there is a 'Space Weather' plugin for that which covers quite a few things.

That's a shame. You would have thought it was possible, seeing as you can pull all the other information from it. :(

I'm not a fan of the Saratoga templates, i think they look too jumbled and horrid personally.

I think i'll go the route of an RSS feed as suggested by MickinMoulden.

Thanks for the info. :)
