Hi, we are in NW France, so probably have a slightly sunnier clime than you but generally similar. We took the advice in the thread below and have been checking and tweaking to a point where we are happy with the readings now against our observations - they have been as consistent and reasonable as we may expect from a Fine Offset.

Sun Threshold 75%
Solar Minimum 4
Trans Factor 0.80
LuxTo WM2 0.0060

The last one really allowed the fine tuning, as Colin suggested in the post.

Many thanks

The Lux to W/M2 - do you mean the multiplier in Calibration or is it a setting in Cumulus.ini?

It's a setting in cumulus.ini to change the conversion factor that Cumulus uses to convert from Lux to W/m2. Add a line to the [Solar] section, e.g.

LuxToWM2=0.006

The default is 0.0079

The UV readings are the ones that get me. At the moment the sun is just peeking through a load of grey cloud. I have a UV reading of 5 and often get >12 in full sun.

You could try using the UV calibration settings; but from the sort of figures you and others are getting from these devices, it's going to be quite tricky to come up with useful settings.
