Hello all, i have a simple question but i can assume the answer is detailed.
My current website is running just normal htm pages that come with cumulus the pages i have edited to my liking, now i want to be moving into Wordpress and from what i understand is wordpress runs on php. so if my .htm pages are uploading to my website but wordpress will only read the .php pages, how will i manage to integrate the pages i had created to display inside my wordpress pages? by that i mean, is it possible to display my html pages and still use wordpress?
thanks in advance.
Antonio.

Re: Cumulus, Wordpress & Data
Hi Antonio,
My (limited) understanding of Wordpress is that it is a website development platform, ie. wordpress is used to generate webpages from templates the website developer provides it with.
It's primary objectives used to be for creating and maintaining blog sites.
You might be able to convert your existing pages to templates for Wordpress to process, but my guess is it's more work than most of us would want for very little gain.
On the other hand, if it's a php website you want, it isn't that difficult to convert from 'plain' html to php using 'standard' web authoring tools.
Cheers.

Re: Cumulus, Wordpress & Data
As I said, my knowledge of wordpress is limited, so I can't really advise much.
You could link your existing pages to those created by wordpress - when all is said and done, the pages built by wordpress, joomla, and other development systems are still html.

Re: Cumulus, Wordpress & Data
Hi !
I use Wordpress for my website and found a plugin called AmberPanther WP Include File website
Make some settings and i can import the html files from cumulis to my webpages.
But, some themes make changes for some pages like the gauges.. and i'll make some changes to the weatherstyle.css to get a normal page (some css items are the same into the WP style and the cumulus style).
