APRS settings

Hello,
I got my CWOP ID but I can´t see anything in the findu server as indicated in my received email from the system despite I am connected since yesterday.

Reading http://www.findu.com/citizenweather/signup.html I see there are some restrictions about sending negative signs and I am located in Argentina and I don´t know how Cumulus identifies the south hemisfere to the APRS network or what would be the problem.

Note that in your data packets the latitude/longitude of your weather station must be in the form of "ddmm.hhN/dddmm.hhW" (without quotes), where d is degrees, m is minutes, and h is hundredths of minutes. Leading zeros are required. Negative signs, colons, or semi-colons are not allowed; use capital letters (N,E,S,W) to indicate hemisphere.

My Internet settings are:

Enabled= ticked
ID=DW2420
Pass=nothing here
Server=http://cwop.aprs.net I tried others and nothing seems going well
Port=14580
Interval=11

Is there anything wrong here ?

Thank You !

Regards,

Daniel

Pass should be '-1' (but I don't know if that matters) and the server name should be given just as cwop.aprs.net - APRS doesn't use the http protocol.

All you should need to do is tick 'enabled' and enter your ID, the defaults work fine.

Hello Steve,
The problem was the http:// before the server name.
Now I can see the report in the Findu page.

Thanks a lot again ! It works fine.

With best regards,
Daniel
