You seem to be trying to select 'Station' from the 'Configuration' menu, just after Cumulus has started, yes? If you leave it until it has got running properly, do you get the same problem?

Hi Steve,
I had installed the Cumulus for about 3 days using Virtual VP using port 7. Suddenly the program lost contact with the station and henceforth did not work anymore.
When I say run it opens and gives the following error:
"Error -32701 While trying to initialise the station. Please check your connection and settings."
Today I tried again and the error message is repeated. I disabled the Virtual VP and configured as TCPIP 192.168.100.3 port 5555 which is the IP and port where the VWS software also receives data from the Davis VP2. Now is working. I am not sure when it will remain so!

I have this same error -- it comes up as soon as I try to execute Cumulus. Been working great until now.
NEVER MIND -- It appears that the Console battery died. No warning -- Can I set up an alert in Cumulus (been a frustrating day -- will try to figure that out tomorrow)

Cumulus just displays the console battery voltage, and makes it available as a web tag - <#battery> - so you could perhaps do something with that. But being able to set an alarm on the battery voltage is a good suggestion.
