wierd rainfall data on restart of PC

Since I got a new computer, I've been having an issue with rainfall amounts in Cumulus. When I have to restart my computer, which restarts Cumulus, the receiver recorded a random amount for rain totals upon the start of Cumulus.
Today for example, I had to restart my PC at around 1330 hours. When I go into the Cumulus software, I've got a record level of 0.86 inches of rain that fell at the same time the PC was restarted. There is NO WAY there was rain today becuase it was sunny
Since I'm feeding my data to weatherunderground and CWOP, it concerns me because my data isn't accurate.
Has anyone else had this problem? I also tried uninstalling completely (reg keys and everything) and re-installed with same results.
What's weird too is the 0.86 of rain is a common number. Seems to always be that amount.
Any help greatly appreiciated.
Bill

Your station had some kind of problem on Friday, and since then it's not been logging data to its memory. Every time Cumulus starts up, the station says it is still using the first memory location. You could try resetting it to see if that gets it working again.

I'm still kind of a new at all this so I just want to make sure I understand you.
You want me to restart the receiver or the weather station itself?

The console. Unplug the USB and remove the batteries. When you connect Cumulus again you may still get strange rainfall for today, it may take a day for it to come back into sync again after the incorrect data from the station.

Ok, the rain is fixed.
The new problem is temp, humidity and dewpoint have random ranges.
Upon a computer restart 2100 hours local;
Temp from 61 f (before) to 41 f (after) then back to 61 f
humidity from 69% (before) to 53% (after) then back to 70%
dewpoint from 51 f (before) to 21 f (after) then back to 51 f

If those are the figures your station is reporting, those are the figures that Cumulus reports. You can use the 'spike removal' settings to filter out the garbage that Fine Offset stations are prone to sending, but in your case the problems you're having with the station may not be that simple.
Your station is losing contact with the sensors. This is not uncommon with Fine Offset stations, but you should try to do something about it.
4/15/2012 21:06:55.450 : Lost sensor contact!!!
4/15/2012 21:07:05.458 : Lost sensor contact!!!
4/15/2012 21:07:15.473 : Lost sensor contact!!!
4/15/2012 21:07:25.474 : Warning: large difference in rain gauge tip count: 36
It also looks like there was a 'garbage' rain value, probably related to the loss of sensor contact.
I can't tell from the files you've uploaded whether your station is actually working again (regarding the original logging issue) you would need to restart Cumulus and attach the latest diags file. I suspect that the reason you are still having problems is that it still isn't logging correctly.
