Hi, and well done on an awesome program.
I have WS2083 from Scientific Sales, which was working well with Cumulus for several weeks.
Running Windows 7 and the latest version of Cumulus.
Cumulus freezes when started (during download) and no live data shows either.
31/3/2012 3.30pm was the last data entry recorded.
I had regularly unplugged the USB cable (after closing Cumulus) and reconnecting in reverse on my laptop with no issues at all.
All basics have been checked via FAQ's and what I can locate through the forum.
I have tried changing the timestamp.ini several times, but no joy.
Even tried loading Cumulus on another computer.
I'm not sure if the problem lies in the freezing during downloading or if there is a fault with the Weather Station (6 weeks old).
The supplier is pointing me towards a software error.
Any help would be great.
Kind regards - Andrew

Re: Download freeze & no live data
You probably have the problem where the station stops responding to requests for data, that a number of people get. See this sticky post in the Fine Offset section: https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=7150.
If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I can confirm the problem, but you could just reset the station anyway. I'm surprised the supplier didn't suggest that rather than blaming Cumulus, but I guess that's a nice solution from their point of view. Or perhaps you have tried resetting the station already?

Re: Download freeze & no live data
Hi Steve
Thanks for your quick reply.
I have just reset the base station and all is working - Yay!!!
Pitty I lost the data, but great to have it working again.
I have attached the zipped diag folder anyway.
Thank you very much for your help.

Re: Download freeze & no live data
I had a quick look at the diags files, and it was indeed the same problem. Cumulus asks for the first block of the station's memory, and gets no reply. The only solution seems to be resetting the station.
