Just uploaded the latest version a few mins ago - build 746
Error 32701 "while trying to intiliase the station"
no data

Did you just install over the old version?
Error -32701 is a com port error. It suggests that something else has the port open, or the port number is wrong. Can you let me have the file from the diags folder from when you tried it, please?

I installed in the usual way, over the old version.
Will terminate Virtual VP and try again.
Update, no change, now weather display not working, possible problem with VP, will try a reboot next

Re boot of PC and VP carried out
Weather Display and Weatherlink working fine. VP appears to be OK aswell
Cumulus - no change, same error code.

I noticed there was a section several day ago where you could select USb, serial tcp etc. As my Vantage Pro is a USB connection I ticked this box. As cumulus wasnt re-started until today I am guessing it didnt make any difference at the time. Until yesterday or whenever it was I handt noticed this selction ?

Yes, changing connection type doesn't take effect until a restart. Maybe.
I suspect the USB connection option doesn't work anyway, even when not going via Virtual VP, but it's not really a big deal as it's easy enough to use the USB/serial driver software.
