Hi
would i be right/wrong in assuming that if i force a web update via cumulus and the date/ time changes in the "conditions at local times" on the web page. This would mean if there was a station attached it would update all the data? I am asking as i am preparing for the arrival of a Davis Vue.

Re: web update
Sorry, I don't understand the question. A 'manual' web update is just the same as an 'automatic' update; all of the web tags are processed and replaced by current values.

Re: web update
Hi Steve
sorry about the confusion, as yet we have no weather station and i have been playing with cumulus to prepare for when we get a station, my question is by forcing a web update and the conditions at local time changes on the web to match the last forced update time, does that indicate that if a station was connected all the data would be updated? i ask because i am getting an ftp error but the time changes on a forced update.

Re: web update
If the pages are being uploaded with updated times, then the data would also be updated. But if you're getting a lot of ftp errors, that's probably an indication that something isn't right somewhere. Turn on ftp logging then do an update and attach the ftplog.txt file here.

Re: web update
Hi Steve
please find attached the ftplog, i have been trying cumlus but with the weatherblues template, i understand if you do not want to support the use of the template, but as we are a charity and we count solely on donations from the public the blues was just more eye candy to attract interest to the site.

Re: web update
It doesn't matter what templates you're using for your web site, it doesn't affect the way Cumulus works.
It looks like you have the ftp paths incorrectly configured:
14:45:54:870 Uploading C:\Cumulus\web\system.htmtmp to public.html/weather
14:45:54:870 ! HighLevelAsync 0
14:45:54:870 FTP Command: PASV
14:45:54:870 049962B0 TriggerDataSent 864
14:45:54:994 FTP Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (184,154,116,178,120,207)
14:45:54:994 >|227 Entering Passive Mode (184,154,116,178,120,207)|
14:45:54:994 ! HighLevelAsync 0
14:45:54:994 TWSocket will connect to 184.154.116.178:30927
14:45:55:119 ! Data Session opened (Put)
14:45:55:119 FTP Command: STOR public.html/weather
14:45:55:119 049969C0 TriggerDataSent 416
14:45:55:119 049962B0 TriggerDataSent 864

14:45:55:244 >|553 Can't open that file: No such file or directory|
public.html/weather looks like a directory to me, rather than a file. For 'extra files' you have to give a full path including the file name, not just a directory. And:
14:45:55:884 Changing directory to home/public.html
14:45:55:884 FTP Command: CWD home/public.html
14:45:55:884 049962B0 TriggerDataSent 864
14:45:56:008 FTP Response: 550 Can't change directory to home/public.html: No such file or directory
14:45:56:008 >|550 Can't change directory to home/public.html: No such file or directory|
The ftp directory you've configured - home/public.html - doesn't exist.
