Past 7 day rain data

Hi All,

I would like to have the ability to track rain precipitation for a 7 day period on my website. My weather station is a Fine Offset WH-1090. My guess is that I need a cron job & PHP to pull the day's total each day at 11:59pm from realtime.txt and add it to a log file. I would then need to delete the first day from the log each day. I am a beginner with PHP. I know that my PWS generates this data, but cumulus doesn't use it. If anyone has a general idea how to do this, that would be great.

The station doesn't make this information available to software, so Cumulus can't use it.

I am about to release some enhancements which are along the lines of what you're looking for, but might take a little bit of work to give you exactly what you want. It would be a logical next step from what I've done to what you need, though.

I'm looking for the same thing - last 7 days (week) rain. We have last hour, today, last 24 hrs, last month. Last week is important because for watering your lawn/plants, it's usually good to know how much they've had during that time (say generally grass likes 1 inch a week).

Is there anything new in the beta that would provide the last week's rain? I don't see anything in the webtags. I did see the ability to go back X days, but I didn't see any way to accumulate the data.

Is there an easy way to get at that data?

Not easily, as far as web tags are concerned. I'm looking at adding similar tags for daily values at some point.

The 'this period' display in Cumulus gives rain totals for any selected period.
