Post by meteosp »

Hi,
I've a pce-fws20 station and it work very well, but i'v 2 problem with cumulus.

The first is that when i restart the program, the minimal temp e and the pressure are 0 and they are recorder in to the dayfile and is a problem form my statistics

The second problem is that the scrren display of station show the correct pressure, while cumulus no. For example. at the moment the display show 1023mb while for cumulus 1012mb

Thank's in advanced

You get the zero reading every time you start Cumulus, so every day has the minimum values of zero? Please zip up the diags folder and attach it, along with your dayfile.txt file.
The second problem is that the scrren display of station show the correct pressure, while cumulus no. For example. at the moment the display show 1023mb while for cumulus 1012mb
Have you read the FAQ? http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#Cumulu ... et_console

When I look at your diags file I'll be able to see if that is the problem.

Diags.rar
Hi,

in attach diag folder and dayfile.txt inside.

I'm connect 24/24 and a don't need to start culums daily but sometimes, and when do it cumuls when start show 0.0°c and get the time of starting prgram, so for all day if you see may statistics result that, for example, the minumin temp ad 12:34 is 0.0

For pressure in display is correct because is the same of other station near me, however i read the FAQ

Thank's for all

You have your Windows time format set to a 12 hour clock but without any am or pm indicators:

28/03/12 22.05.25.062 . Short time format: 10.05
28/03/12 22.05.25.062 . Long time format: 10.05.25

Cumulus can't cope with this because it can't tell the difference between morning and night, so it doesn't know when it was last closed down. It's doing day rollovers when it doesn't need to, which is why you are getting entries with zeroes in them, and duplicate entries for one day:

28/03/12 22.06.41.093 . Duplicate entry at line 54 of dayfile.txt: 04/03/12. Please correct this by editing the file
28/03/12 22.06.41.093 . Duplicate entry at line 55 of dayfile.txt: 04/03/12. Please correct this by editing the file
28/03/12 22.06.41.093 . Duplicate entry at line 57 of dayfile.txt: 05/03/12. Please correct this by editing the file

It looks like you haven't set your relative (sea-level) pressure correctly on your station; your sea-level pressure is lower than your station pressure, which would imply that you are underground:

28/03/12 22.06.05.312 . EWUSB: Read pressure values: rel=1014,2 abs=1021,2 offset =-7,0

Cumulus displays sea-level (relative) pressure, and you have been looking at your absolute pressure on the console. You need to set your relative pressure correctly and only use that.

Ok perfet, i've set correctly the time format in 24 hours

Ok, for this i must read the manual.
About you with the modification on time set will fix the problema about min temp in restart ok cumulus?

Other things....
Cumulus display del pressure on sea and the difference with rel is -7.0

What error? Your latest entry in dayfile.txt looks fine to me.

29/03/12;20,9;180;13.36;9,8;07.22;19,2;15.54;1006,8;23.37;1013,9;01.00;0,0;00.00;0,0;14,9;78,6;13,3;13.36;33;00.42;90;23.34;0,00;0,0;19,2;15.54;18,8;14.25;8,1;06.55;0,0;00.00;9,8;07.22;13,6;14.06;0,4;00.42;119;3,4;0,0

And if you've corrected your time format, you shouldn't have any more problems.

You still have duplicate entries in dayfile.txt, you need to remove them - is that the error you mean?
Cumulus display del pressure on sea and the difference with rel is -7.0

28/03/12 22.06.05.312 . EWUSB: Read pressure values: rel=1014,2 abs=1021,2 offset =-7,0

If i modify cumulus.ini and add the line EWpressureoffset=7.0 i fix the problem?
Is (positive) 7 hPa the correct difference? If so, then yes, you could set that in Cumulus.ini. But you should set your station correctly too.

What does the 'timestamp' line look like in your today.ini file? Windows is apparently interpreting the date 7/4/12 as 4/7/12:

07/04/12 16.17.12.546 . Read today file: Date = 07/04/12, LastUpdateTime = 04/07/12 16.16.00

I couldn't see anything wrong with your date format before, and it doesn't seem to have changed anyway. I changed my settings to be the same as yours; yours are:

07/04/12 16.48.07.953 . Locale = 1040 ITA: Italia (Italiano (Italia))
07/04/12 16.48.07.953 . List separator=; Decimal separator=, Date separator=/ Time separator=.

07/04/12 16.48.08.015 . Short date format: 07/04/12
07/04/12 16.48.08.015 . Long date format: sabato 7 aprile 2012
07/04/12 16.48.08.015 . Short time format: 16.48
07/04/12 16.48.08.015 . Long time format: 16.48.08

and mine are:

07/04/12 16.10.09.807 . Locale = 1040 ITA: Italy (Italian (Italy))
07/04/12 16.10.09.807 . List separator=; Decimal separator=, Date separator=/ Time separator=.

07/04/12 16.10.09.807 . Short date format: 07/04/12
07/04/12 16.10.09.807 . Long date format: sabato 7 aprile 2012
07/04/12 16.10.09.807 . Short time format: 16.10
07/04/12 16.10.09.807 . Long time format: 16.10.09

On your system, Windows thinks that 07/04/12 is the 4th of July:

07/04/12 16.48.28.203 . Read today file: Date = 07/04/12, LastUpdateTime = 04/07/12 16.45.00

but on mine it (correctly) thinks it's the 7th of April:

07/04/12 16.10.09.858 . Read today file: Date = 07/04/12, LastUpdateTime = 07/04/12 8.45.00

So I ask again, What does the 'timestamp' line look like in your today.ini file?
