Dreaded 99% Bug....

OK, I know this has been addressed a few times but after some searching I'm unable to find a definitive answer.
My WS-1080 station has become one of those that is stuck at 99% RH for outside conditions. I've done a little searching and have found a myriad of "fixes" ranging from replacing the batteries to drilling holes in the sensor to resoldering half the circuit board. So, with that in mind, I would like to see what everyone here has found to work when presented with this issue.
Station is located in Ingleside, TX, USA and is viewable through WeatherBug, WeatherUnderground, and CWOP/APRS. Station is approximately 50' above sea level.
