Hi Steve,
with detailed chart period = 72 or 48, chart line width = 1 or 2, if I start Cumulus and do a manual web-update, the image is ok.
With the first auto-update from Cumulus build 1031, the wind direction thumbnail graph looks somewhat strange, all other are ok.
Attached thumbnail graph files, thx 4 looking into...

Re: Wind direction thumbnail graph - bad image quality
I've seen that effect before, but I can't remember the cause or the solution. It's something to do with using a white background. Did this just start happening with 1031, do you know?
Does restarting Cumulus fix it? If not, does using a gradient background with all three colours set to white fix it?
Edit: I've found the thread where this issue was first reported. I said that there was nothing I could do about it and suggested using a gradient with all three colours set to white as a work around.

Re: Wind direction thumbnail graph - bad image quality
It's not related to build 1031 as the build before was same...
Wonderful, activating gradients (all three white or whatever) definately works, thx!

Re: Wind direction thumbnail graph - bad image quality
Thanks from me as well - Ive been niggled by this issue for months, but never enough till now to hunt properly for the solution!
For anyone who stumbles across this thread in the future, the solution in more detail is:
In Cumulus, open Configuration Menu. Choose Colours. From new window, in Graphs section at bottom left, tick Gradient enabled, and choose the same colour (white in my case) for start, middle and end.
Bit of a bizarre problem, and never feels right to have to use a work-around . . . . but it does work!

Re: Wind direction thumbnail graph - bad image quality
FYI - I've never seen this problem before until I upgraded to v1.9.3 (1059) this weekend. I got the same blotchy background to the Wind Direction thumbnail only as 'winddsm - copy.png' in the ZIP above. Checking off the gradient and setting all 3 colors to white (same as background) in the configuration fixed the problem.
