Windows 7 64 Bit

I have a Watson W-2001 weather station which has worked perfectly on Windows XP Pro.
I have now moved on to Windows 7 64 Bit and the station will not work with the PC.

I am told it will work with Windows 7 32 Bit but not 64 Bit.
As the station is only 9 months old, does anyone know how I can make it work on 64 Bit or who makes the software it runson to enable me to contact them and ask if a solution will be available shortly.

What version of windows 7 have you moved to? home prem, pro , ultimate?

Are you running the Cumulus software or the software provided with the station

I had Cumulus running on Windows 7 Home premium 64bit with no problems.

I don't think Cumulus works with this weather station, so I think this question isn't related to Cumulus (which does work on Windows 7 x64, it's what I use to develop it).

I have just downloaded Cumulus for the first time and found it didn't work on my Windows 7 Pro 64-bit machine. I suggest that the list of compatible operating systems should mention that it does not include 64-bit. More importantly, could it please (please!) be made 64-bit-compatible. (It seems to work fine on my old XP/SP3 computer, on first firing up, but my XP computer is not an option, as that crashes randomly and I want to decommission it.)

It works fine on Windows 7 64-bit, as noted in the two posts before yours in this thread. In what way does it not work for you? It's hard to help with just "it didn't work". What happens when you run it? If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look.

Please also note that this section of the forum is not for Cumulus queries (and this thread was nothing to do with Cumulus); often I don't even read this section, so it's pot luck whether you get a reply.

Cumulus works just fine on my win 7 64 machine. Try installing it as administrator that sometimes fixes this type of problem.

I had run Cumulus on Windows 7 64 bit for 3 years and now on Windows 8 and all works great!
