Ftp connection

Post by hometlc »

I have a website that I have created using your software and it is great, however I have developed an issue when the data tries to upload manually as listed.

Logging in to ftp.scottishclarks.org
Changing directory to wsb4111960003/Weather
Uploading standard files
Sending html pages
Already disconnected!

It does not complete the upload, infact it is updating any files and it is blanking out the index.html file. It was working with our flaw for several days and now I cannot get it to update.

I am using v1.9.2

Does anyone have any ideas?

Just an update I found that my issue was with the PC that it was running on or the switch. I rebooted the system on another router and all seems fine at this point. It was strange that I could login to the FTP account with out issue, it was like the connection was being broken momentarily from the Cumulus software to the FTP site.

under configuration>internet settings>sites/options, do you have the "Delete before uploaded" box ticked?

If so try using the one above it "Use FTP rename"

It might have been that your connection was really slow due to the issue you have fixed and all it was able to do was log in and delete the original file and not successfully send the new file. This way the old file will remain in place until the new file is successfully uploaded.

Sounds like you've resolved it though, well done. :)
