Yes it was, although i also replaced the PC at the same time.

It doesn't seem to have got as far as completing the synchronisation, and as the synchronisation process itself increases the likelihood of getting 'clashes', it's quite possible that it's causing the lockup. I suggest you turn it off, given that you weren't having problems previously.

You're getting garbage readings because you've selected a station type of 'Fine Offset', when you have a station with solar sensors.

You've set a temperature spike removal setting of 0.5 degrees, which I would say is too low; you're likely to get genuine readings rejected.

The station is a normal FO - no solar sensors involved.
I have now switched it off so i will see what happens from here.
I did get regular spikes of 0.7/0.8c so set it to 0.5 to avoid these and all seems fine,a rise/fall of 0.5c between data transmissions would not be normal and suggest to me an incorrectly shielded sensor.
Moral of this story is FO are just hassle!

Ah, OK, you're getting faulty readings for some other reason, then. Your 0.5 threshold is being triggered, and not for one-off spikes. Your rain counter has also being doing peculiar things.

No idea, sorry. I know virtually nothing about how these things work - or don't.

It jumped up by 107 and then down again, and then back up again. Seems to be stable now. But your temperature reading has been all over the place today. For example:

water01's reply resolved my issue.

Yesterday Cumulus was seeing my weather station fine. Today, after a windows update and reboot, it would not recognize the weather station.

After I changed the usb power settings to disable the "suspend for power management"...or something like that... it runs no problem.

Jumps in rain value and crazy temperature readings happen to me when there is interference that's not quite enough to trigger a full loss of contact with the outside sensors. (I often get crazy wind readings as well - e.g. average speed higher than gust speed.) There's often a loss of contact shortly after or before.

Finally fixed my FO locking-up problems (after numerous attempts). Took it back to Maplin and got my money back. Now have a Davis Vantage Vue.

The FO beat me into submission.

The pressure sensor has failed in my FO console meaning it is throwing out all kinds of rubbish such at 929mb one minute then 1169 the next..Cumulus will not read the data at all saying 'errorignoring dubious pressure reading' is three any way i can set Cumulus to ignore this rubbish and keep reporting other data ?

Version 1.9.4 ignores individual readings without discarding all of the other data.

Hi All, back again. To recap our Maplin N96FY runs via Windows7 PC (Compaq) we have noted a pattern emerging in that the station seems to go off line early every Thursday Morning at around the 3am mark. Has anyone else noted this, we have Norton running and Windows update active. Are are just alone with the problem, we are ILANCASH103 on wunderground.

What do you mean by going offline? Is Cumulus still running? What isn't updating? Is this actually anything to do with this thread - do you have to reset the station to get it going again?

If you have Windows set to automatically reboot after applying updates, then 0300 is typically the time it would do it.
