Help requested for a newbie, very new to HTLM but learning fast(ish)!
I have my site running with the standard Cumulus web pages and would like to have the first screen displaying the 'now' conditions when entering the URL.
Currently the Today's data is displayed. Is there a way of doing this please?
My site is dennisdgwx.comuf.com
I'm using Cumulus V1.9.2 Build 1030
Operating System is Win 7 Pro
Weather Station Watson W-8681 installed as Fine Offset
Thanks
Dennis

Re: How to set 'now' conditions as start page
When you specify a URL without a page name, e.g: http://dennisdgwx.comuf.com/, the server has to work out what page to give you. It has a list of 'default' pages, e.g. index.html, index.htm, index.php, etc, and it looks for one those. You have somehow created a page called index.html, which is a copy of a today.htm page from a few days ago. If you delete that index.html file, the server should display the index.htm page by default instead.

Thank you - I noticed I'd created an index.php file so moved it out of the working folder and all seems to be well.

Re: How to set 'now' conditions as start page
From what I can see you have tried to create the web pages in both your sites 'root' directory AND a directory called weather.
Currently it is the 'root' pages which are being updated. This means you can't have another 'front' (index. ) page for anything else on your web site.
Was that your intention ?

Hi Denis.
you probably created the index.html page automatically when you saved the file in your html editor.
Its an easy mistake to make, done it several times
