Hi guys,
trying to create a realtime display. I have downloaded the cumulus realtime stuff and followed the instructions. changed the url to the realtime.txt and uploaded the files to my site. However I just get a 404 error page not found.

Re: Cumulus Realtime
What have you actually called the page with the realtime application? When you put a directory into the address bar of a browser (like http://www.abbeyhultonweather.com/cumulusrealtime/), the web server has to try to work out what page to give you by default, and typically this would be something like index.html, depending on how the web server is configured.
You need to type in the address of the page that your using.

Re: Cumulus Realtime
That was the last time (and it was actually yesterday) that your realtime.txt file (http://www.abbeyhultonweather.com/realtime.txt) was updated. Perhaps you are having ftp problems? If you turn on ftp logging, the realtimeftplog.txt file will show any problems with the realtime ftp upload.liamcarbin wrote:Only problem now is that it seems to be stuck on 13.19.44. Its 17.41

Re: Cumulus Realtime
It means that whatever you have put for 'ftp directory' is incorrect, so when Cumulus constructs the full name of the realtime.txt file on the server by adding '/realtime.txt to whatever you've put, the server complains that it can't create a file with that name. If you look in the ftplog.txt file, you will probably see that when Cumulus tries to change directory, the server gives a similar message.
If your 'normal' (non-realtime) uploads are working then you probably need to leave the ftp directory blank, as you are presumably already in the correct directory when you log in.

Re: Cumulus Realtime
Thanks for all your help Steve.
It was indeed a incorrect ftp directory. It was working for the non realtime. Changed it to blank and now realtime is working and non realtime is still getting updated. Thanks.
