So as not to be thrown out of here I am asking first.
A recently opened New Zealand Weather Forum has started in the last couple of weeks and of course they are looking for members and especially weather geeks like themselves to now and again add their weather conditions or extremes for comparisons and of course interest.
There is a Software Topic with Cumulus as a sub topic. Empty at this stage of course. Linking back to this Cumulus forum regarding help and info goes without saying.
Am I allowed to advertise this and add a link on this forum please.
Thanks
Jenny

Re: Question - linking to a New Zealand Weather Forum.
I have no problem with linking to relevant web sites.
I have to say, though, that I am always a little perplexed by the 'independent' support sites for Cumulus that I know exist in various places. I came across one recently, and while people were trying to be helpful and answering questions, some of them were guessing, and some of the answers were simply wrong.

It occurs to me that my previous post didn't really give a direct answer to your question "Am I allowed to advertise this and add a link on this forum please.". The answer is of course "yes".

Re: Question - linking to a New Zealand Weather Forum.
Many thanks for you reply and permission
I totally agree and hence I said we would be linking back here for help and info.
I was ( past tense ) part of a national forum down here and external linking was forbidden. Totally stupid and very frustrating. All the answers are here plus experienced help. But not all user are aware of this forum so linking back to the appropriate topic in here will kill 2 birds with 1 stone as so to speak.
I have also found in the past user are a little scared of making fools of themselves in large forums such as this and a smaller forum seems less daunting.
Anyways I pretty much know this forum like the back of my hand so pointing them in the right direction should be easy enough.
Cheers and thanks

People should never be afraid of making fools of themselves, though. I'm not

Sounds similar to your topic some time ago, who 'reads the Licence Agreement' .steve wrote: I guess I can be a bit scaryI get frustrated by people who seem to want everything done for them, and won't even at least read the 'please read this before posting' message.
...and yes I know what you mean
