w8681 not initialising?

Hi, this is my first post on here so apologies if it is in the wrong place. Since yesterday I have been getting the error code "The station is not initialising" when i start up cumulus. I have no idea at all what this means or how to fix it, does anybody know? The station itself is working fine, I just cant get it to play nicely with the laptop for some reason

Cumulus reads the first two bytes from the station's memory to check that they have the correct values which indicate that the station firmware has initialised correctly. In your case they apparently do not. A reset (remove batteries and USB) may correct this.
