Hi Kapo & Ron,
Could you download the below Debug Test Version and let me know if you still
get the same error / problems.
CRTDGv143_TestVer.zip
Thanks.

Hi!!
An error occured again. I tried in two ways. First the realtime.txt red from my webpage, and another from my PC. Error both times. I inspected those a little, and found that temperature / wind chill / max. temperature are same, in first test 1.2 C, and in second test those are 1.3 C. In the error text, first error:coversion from string "1.2" to "type" is not valid, and in the second error: coversion from string "1.3" to "type" is not valid. I don`t understand anything about programming, but those numerical values are same... I wonder if they have a common denominator, or are these just coincidences....
Couple of pics and txt-files included.
Best regards from rainy Finland:

Hi Kapo,
Thanks for posting the screenshots and error files.
With that info to hand I hope I may have found the problems *fingerscrossed*
I have spent most of today re-coding a large portion of my code and how it
handles variables, then had to go into all the procedures and edit the old
variables with the new ones, and test each one worked as I went.
So I have now attached another test version, which I really hope sorts out the
problems

If not then its back to the drawing board for me
I will test this test version over night here on my server too just to make sure it is
working 100% for me. As due to the major re-code I want to make sure that
I have not introduced another bug !
Please let me know how you get on with it and if there are any errors can you
post them up here again.
ver. 1.4.3b_testing.zip
Thanks in advance
Mark

Hi again!
Sorry... but I didn`t get this program to work. But it dosen`t mean that nobody gets it to run... I am quite "handless " in these things, and I should not be surprised if it is because of me or my computer, that occur that problem..... I tried my best and it dosen`t work. I will test next versions with pleasure, if you give permission to me...
I like these kind of things, and if I can be for help it`s as christmas to me...
There are couple pics and txt files included. I noticed, that error text says something about my first numeric value (=0.9)... if it means something...

Sorry to interfere in something I don't know much about, but this looks like a problem that people have with Cumulus when they change their system settings.
Isn't the problem just what Kapo suggested earlier, that his system uses a comma for a decimal separator? So when you get VB to try to convert the string "0.9" into a number, it can't because it expects numbers to have a comma in them - "0,9".

Hi Steve it runs fine by me just tried, this programm uses the realime.txt I might be wrong but the realtime.txt hasn't decimal comma's.

Yes, that's right, and that's what I'm suggesting causes the problem; his system only understands numbers with decimal commas. Or are you saying your PC uses decimal commas also and it works OK for you? In which I've probably gone and done it again and poked my nose in on something I shouldn't have

My system uses comma's indeed only the date has another format dd-mm-yyyy

Hi
Yes, my PC uses commas for decimal pointer. But realtime.txt has dot as decimal pointer?? That decimal pointer error was then only a guess, like these others are too. I really don't understand anything about programming.... and when I write here, I usually ask some help so that I can in same time learn something.... I really cannot give anything else than guesses, and those guesses go wrong almoust every time. So this CRTD program probably works in other PC:s althought it dosen't run in my PC. Pic. of my realtime.txt file included, and there are decimal pointers as dots, so my guess about that decimal limiter was wrong, as usual...
With best regards:

Steve/Kapo:
Thanks for your input any help is always appreciated =)
The odd thing is that I have run the new test version of grabber with Kapo’s realtime URL on my machine at home and here
at work and it works 100% with no error. (See screenshot below).
So I guess it must be something specific to Kapo’s machine set up maybe, but I am unsure what.
The odd thing is that I load the values for the Temperature etc.. straight into a Variable which is
a "Double" type and not a string!? So not sure why it is erroring with a String convertion to Double,
and why it works OK on my machine and not Kapo's
Ron:
That is very odd why it is multiplying by 100 for you!
Does this happen on all graphs or just certain ones? If so can you confirm back to me which ones are affected.
(I think I fixed it last time by changing the Variable Data Type to "Single" rather than "String"). So will have to
have another look through my code).
Could I ask that you run the old version which worked and let me know if it still does work OK then can you let me know which
version works correctly, so I can see what I changed to try and work
out what the problem could be.
I have also tested your URL and all seems to work ok on my pc. As you can see from the screenshot below, the pressure is
displayed correctly.

Mark I have put the output on my homeserver (hope its up) the latest version multiplies with 100 ( rain is not availble ) exept the humidy is right I think output is static and not updated over here for latest version
http://apeldoorn.hollandweather.net/latest/
The previous version looks acceptable for me it's over here also static
http://apeldoorn.hollandweather.net/prev/ I run both for a few minutes but the previous version had no crashes , the latest didn't crash either but I've not done a long test with the latest.
Data in both are captured in same timespan (about 15 minutes, not running the prog together at the same time)
Ron
