You can have your website added to the list by filling out a form which is listed at the very bottom of the Users Map Page - see http://sandaysoft.com/maps/cumulus-map.php

Re: 1000 Cumulus Websites!!!
Care should be taken when declaring a 'non-Cumulus' site.
I have discovered several which are obviously saratoga template or code based, and equally obviously have been tweaked over a long time for their personal content.
It looks like there are a growing number of 'other' software users now migrating to Cumulus to collect their data (which after all is its true purpose).
It's a little sad that there are those who actively remove credits, but then again if we all gave credits for everything (eg. think things like using .gifs) you wouldn't be able to find your own content on the page

I could have sworn mine was listed before, but I can't find it on the map now, so I submitted it. Maybe I was thinking of a different map/listing.

Re: 1000 Cumulus Websites!!!
There was a problem last week with the file that holds the data for the map, about half of the entries were lost. The entries weren't from the beginning or the end of the file, as you might expect, but somehow scattered throughout the file.
My web host supposedly takes backups of the site, but these don't appear to exist. I take backups of the SQL databases, but not the site, as I mistakenly thought that the web site was 'static' and could be recreated by reinstalling the PHP packages. I had forgotten, or didn't realise, about the one data file which does live on the server, the map database.
Kevin has given me a copy of the file that he happened to have from July 2011. One way forward would be to merge that file with the current file, sort it and remove duplicates. I have the submission emails going back about 10 months, so I could manually add these back in. The problem is that (a) this is a lot of work, and (b) an exercise had taken place to 'prune' invalid/obsolete/dead entries from the map, and this would effectively be undone.
An alternative solution would be to leave it as it is now, and when people spot that they have been lost from the map, they could just resubmit.
An alternative solution would be to remove the map facility altogether.

This option would seem not only the most sensible but easiest to.An alternative solution would be to leave it as it is now, and when people spot that they have been lost from the map, they could just resubmit.

That explains it. It's no problem here, just curious.steve wrote:There was a problem last week with the file that holds the data for the map, about half of the entries were lost.
