In December I got the WH3080 & did a clean install of Cumulus 1.9.2 . You will remember I had problems with the console but that was replaced & is working fine now. I kept my old Cumulus files with records going back to 2008 .
Can I add these records to my records this year? If so could I have some advice please.
Record cold here last night - down to -11.9C . We re situated in a basin - at 11.00 pm last night it was -5.0C 1mile from here on the rim & down here it was -10C.
Cheers,
Chris

Re: Updating records
You can just copy the old monthly data files into the data folder. For dayfile.txt (and possibly the 'changeover' monthly log file), you'll need to edit the file and merge the contents. Do the copying and editing with Cumulus stopped. You can then run the high/low editors and get to them to update your highs and lows from the data.

Re: Updating records
Hi Steve,
Tried that & it seemed to work but the old records were not transmitted. I decided to re-install the older version & then updated to 1.9.2 . I then connected the console & it downloaded all the data since the end of December to the present date. All seems to be working well apart from a few minor adjustments to be made. I am amazed that the console stored 47 days worth of data.
Cheers,
Chris

Did you use the editors as described above to extract the records from the merged data?dionaea wrote:Tried that & it seemed to work but the old records were not transmitted.

Re: Updating records
Yes I did but I didn't find a way to put in my own info that the highs/lows missed e.g. in August 2010 the monthly rainfall was 113.5mm - a record but it was not found by the "fetch log data" or the day file log data for some reason. My rainfall records all seem to be for 2012 which is not the case.

Re: Updating records
Sorted by editing dayfile for the given date - still got to do a few others.
