Streaming Webcam Timelapse Video - Testers Needed

I've got a bunch of webcam timelapse video I want to stream. I can use my own server to stream it (Windows Media Server) or I can use something like JustIn.tv to stream it. I'd prefer to stream my own. But it needs to be tested.

Here is the link using an .asx file: http://science.uvu.edu/wilson/weather/n ... lcrest.asx (note, there are two videos here, 2011 and 2012)
Here is the direct mms link: mms://science.uvu.edu/Hillcrest/Hillcrest2012.wmv

Would some of you be so kind as to test the links (I'm most interesting in how the .asx file behaves) and let me know what you saw:
Did the link work?
Did it play right away in your default player?
Did it stream okay, or did it pause/hiccup?
Did the stream throw an error (or otherwise die) before it finished?
Was the wait for the buffer to fill unbearable long?
Did the bandwidth of the video exceed your internet bandwidth?
Was finding a specific date to view worth the effort?

Thanks, everyone!

The asx file just prompts me to save to disk in Chrome on Windows 7.
The wmv launches media player, but it cannot find the file :(

The .asx file should be saved, then when double-clicked (ack, just realized many are averse to clicking files) will open the default video player. I may need to set it up to play in a box on a web page.

Hi,

The .asx version worked for me in both Firefox 10, IE 9 and Chrome. There was a slight delay, less than one minute while the video was connecting/buffering. I did not see a choice of dates. The video is nice.

I was unable to see the .wmv file in any of the browsers. The windows media player opened but was stuck on connecting to media.

You won't know about the second video unless you have a playlist visible, or when you click the Next button and it starts playing. One of the myriad problems I need to overcome to make this work like I want.

Okay, embedded in a test page, if a few of you could try this link: http://science.uvu.edu/wilson/weather/n ... gVideo.htm

Right-click, Zoom, full-screen looks okay if the little box seems too small.

I get no further than "connecting to media" in IE, Google and FF

I get to the buffering stage on the second screen, but after 5 minutes it is only at 3%. Nothing for the first screen.

Well, it's a bust, then. I'll look for other servers. Thanks, everyone.
