Re: Unreliable Fine Offset

Sorry Alan that I haven't responded sooner, but I have had no power for 60 hrs, due to floods, winds etc.
My Weather Station has now dried out, and is transmitting again, but not correct data. Between Thursday and Monday, we had 497 mm rain (in 5 days) measured in a standard rain gauge, but my Fine Offset only recorded a total of 239mm. All of this was supposedly yesterday, when it didn't rain, but that was the day it "dried out". Obviously it doesn't store data for very long.
I had thought of sealing all the joints etc, and have also thought about lodging the transmitter unit in a weather-proof enclosure which would also provided more accurate temperature readings. I suspect that in its current location it is over exposed to radiant heat, and therefore my records are too high. I just haven't got round to it.
Well, there seem to be no further suggestions, so maybe I shall HAVE to get an enclosure built, but then, this may not solve the problem either...........
Regards,
Mike
