If you turn on ftp logging in Cumulus, it will produce a file called ftplog.txt which may show what's going on.

the FTP logging file indicates FTP Connect Error - Error code 10060 what is / where do I find the explanation for the code?

FTP error 10060 is a general 'no response from server' error. Host mylighttabele.com gives a 'not found' for me.

mylighttable is the main account into godaddy, mycaddisfly is a sub domain. look at mycaddisfly.org. mylighttable.com is the parent [?]

When you typed mylighttabele.com above, was that a typo here, or was that what you put into Cumulus? Either way, the Cumulus ftp log should show what's going on.

I have not a clue to what this says. If 63.249.251.249 is an IP address ,I got now response. 50.63.221.1 is the ip for the host server.
I appears the problem is at my computer / cumulus set up / internet config ..yes?

Yes, your DNS is resolving the host name to 63.249.251.249, and whatever that machine is, it doesn't currently accept FTP connections. If you can't fix this, you could put the IP address in for the host name as a last resort, but of course it's not really recommended to use IP addresses instead of names as IP addresses can change.

OK thanks, I will contact godaddy and talk with them about the connection and what I am trying to do as I have also a photblog that may require the same type of ftp uploading. I will let you know the resolve.

I don't understand what you're asking. The ftp component that Cumulus uses translates the host name you supply into an IP address using Windows DNS. Your system is apparently returning the wrong IP address.

I notice that mycaddisfly.org resolves to the same address as mylighttable.com, so you could try using that for the host name instead, that would the logical name to use anyway. Or you could just use the IP address.

mylighttable.com resolves to 50.63.211.1 which is what you had in the log file you posted above. Where has 63.249.251.249 come from? Have you changed the host name in the Cumulus configuration?

In my FTP I enter 50.63.221.1 as the IP ... in cumulus' form I enter the same IP however the error says it cant open the host... which is all reported earlier in this posting. I do not understand ... probably give up as nothing should be this hard. Is there another way I can up load to the host ..how about another FTP program other than filezilla ..which works for everything else ..

Now that you're using an IP address instead, could you please turn on ftp logging, let it run for a while, and then attach the ftplog.txt file. Please also attach a screen shot of your Cumulus internet settings; if you're not sure how to take screen shots in Windows, there are some tips in the wiki: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Screen_capture

I don't understand the reference to Filezilla, are you having problems with that too?
