Hello,
I am getting now this only happens with new records. For example today there was no rain but new records recorded 58 inches of rain. This is not happening with the current readings or in the yesterday readings seems to be only with new records. Although it is offsetting of course the records that is kept for rain. Is there a way to change this to reflect the actual?
Bob

Re: False rain readings
Which of the numerous rain records is showing 58 inches? The monthly record is calculated from the the daily totals in dayfile.txt and the others you can correct from the all-time record editor.

Re: False rain readings
Hi Steve,
All Time High daily rain 58.65
Highest monthly rain 58.96
These two fields I have had issues before where I have had to go in and re edit them with correct numbers from the Heavy Weather software. Also This Year 1.41 is off by 1.0. This is only happening to the rain all of the rest seems very accurate. Like I said all of the currents all the way through the yesterday fields are displaying accurate information it just seems when it goes into history the information is getting messed up. I apologize I mean I dont see a way to edit the This Year catagory.

Re: False rain readings
To fix the monthly rain you'll need to stop Cumulus and edit dayfile.txt to correct the days with the incorrect totals. You can then edit the all time high daily rain using the all time record editor.

Re: False rain readings
The first is a single file called dayfile.txt ; an entry is made to this file every day at midnight or 0900 (1000 in summer) depending on the chosen setting on the Station Configuration screen, summarising the day's data. The file is in comma-separated format, and each entry contains the following fields, in this order:
Date in the form dd/mm/yy
Highest wind gust,
Bearing of highest wind gust
Time of highest wind gust
Minimum temperature
Time of minimum temperature
Maximum temperature
Time of maximum temperature
Minimum sea level pressure
Time of minimum pressure
Maximum sea level pressure
Time of maximum pressure
Maximum rainfall rate
Time of maximum rainfall rate
Total rainfall for the day
Average temperature for the day
Total wind run
