I have a WH1080 maplins special which came with easyweather as standard, i have obviously loaded cumulus which seems to be doing an excellent job, however i cannot seem to be able to clear the data from the device unless i run easyweather to do it. Is this correct or am i missing a trick? It's a bit of a pain to have to use easyweather just for clearing the unit.
Cheers
Vic

Can you explain why you want to clear the data? It's not normally necessary.

Re: Clearing of data on main unit
The main unit has a pie chart in the bottom right corner that tells me how much memory is left. I had assumed that if I do not regularly clear the memory then it would fill up and stop storing data?

Re: Clearing of data on main unit
it just over writes the oldest data is what i have found out
just leave it to do its own thing.
keep an eye on it if you have to change the batteries in the unit as that delets the data. not to bad if its just uploaded. running from usb disconnects the battery feed via a relay so as long as thats ok the data should not be effected

Re: Clearing of data on main unit
If you really want to clear the data, press the pie chart three time until "Clear" come up by the side of it, then press and hold the pie chart for three to four seconds and it should be cleared.

Thats the ideal solution.
Many thanks for that, and it saves me having to use easyweather in the future to clear it.

You may have missed the point in a previous reply, you don't have to clear the data. When it fills up, the weather station just overites the oldest data. Cumulus just collects the most recent data.
There really is no need to clear the data from the console.

Hi Paul,
Yes i did understand the previous post, but to be honest if i have taken the data off then i just like to see it clear, just a personal preference i suppose.

Re: Clearing of data on main unit
I do it too Vic, however I will say that you must shut down Cumulus first and if you can unplug it from the computer, then reset the main unit then its better to do this.
I found that if you dont do this, then you sometimes get a spike in the data across a few of the sensors which can be annoying as they can ruin the max values of the previous data.
