Weatherwise Wireless Weather Station

Post by Shamus42 »

Hi,
I am new at this so please be patient. My Westherwise wireless station has had it's speed indicator (term??) the cups., freeze up. I have read that Weatherwise is out of business....does anyone know for sure before I begin the task of phoning and writing for a replacement.??

Hi Shamus.

You dont quote the model your using but a quick check on net shows Weatherwise is still going.

I found a parts replacement advert here .. http://weatherwiseinstruments.com/repla ... parts.html

If you check around the web you will find the same kit advertised under different names, so it may well be that the anemometer 'cups' is replaceable.

There is a link in Cumulus for 'spares' so search here too.

Good luck

Hi Shamus,

Clas Ohlson probably aren't much use for you in USA but there probably are suppliers of spares there for one of the Fine Offset derivatives (I believe they all use the same anemometer).

However, yours may be repairable, the bearings are quite standard, so search in this forum for "bearings" and/or look in the Photos of the insides of Fine Offset sensors sticky.

Cheers, Alan.
