Barometer trend WS2300

Post by bjornfred »

Where does that trend come from ?
Looks like this:
Barometer 988,2 hPa Falling +0,7 hPa/hr
To me +0,7 means Rising
Or is that "falling" coming from the stations forecast ?

The trend string comes from the station, and the value comes from Cumulus. Cumulus works out the trend based on the change over the last 3 hours, which as I understand it is the correct thing to do. I don't know how the station works out the string. There's an option in the station settings to get Cumulus to provide the string, if you want, which should correspond to the numbers.

The 23xx does a 6 hour trend calculation. I'm using Cumulus option for trend 'text', except in my ajax script which will always agree the the Cumulus trend to avoid any inconsistancies.
