Cumulus 1.9.2 Webpage

My webpage is up and doing fine but I want to modify my page now after one week up.
Are there any ready templates to work with?
Which files do I modify? On the server or in my web folder in the Cumulusprogram?
What are the settings in Internet settings -> Files after modification?
Why are the two types of htm-files? I mean the ordinary and the "T-htm´s"?

Hi Magoo, If you turn to the wiki, http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Main_Page, there are a few sections on web pages, and over all an important read.

Thanks but I´ve read that over and over but still I wonder over a few things.
Are there any more ready templates with other graphics to download anywhere?
If I modify the files on the web (server) do I uncheck the settings in Internet settings -> Files after modification?
Or is the only right thing to modify the T-html´s?

There are quite a few sets of templates that people have produced - see the downloads page and the 'sticky' posts in the website development and 3rd party tools sections of the forums for some examples.

If you edit the 'T' files in the web folder then Cumulus will automatically use those (it can't tell the difference). If your templates use different names, then you have to list them in the files section of the internet settings.

To modify the standard templates, do the mods on your cumulus pc, & only the .htm files ending in T, eg indexT.htm. As for some different templates to try, you could look at this link https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=6255.

Or, because of the limitation in Cumulus on the number of files you can update and transfer, have a search through the forum for users who modify a single cumuluswebtags.php file and then write, or use, their own templates completely seperate from the Cumulus files. This means only a single file has to be transferred at every update - quicker, leaner and cleaner :)

Thanks for answers.
I think the standard template is good enough but wonder if there is another one ready with other graphics.
The only one I find is on that Canadian forum where I must register.
I guess there´s not another "official" one?

You haven't noticed all the posts about Jaques templates in the Website Development (big clue) area then :bash:

Are you writing about the Météo du Québec forums? If you look at the bottom right of the page, you will see some thing such as "Selectionnez votre langue:" followed by "Français Standard" - click on the down arrow and select "British English". English menus will now be displayed for easier browsing - but do not expect the messages to be translated to english... ;)

You will still needed to register before you can download the templates needed to create the Météo du Québec - english version of the pages.

Oh you seem to be nice and helpful to a newbie.
A big thank you for the clue ;)
I guess I noticed that one earlier...

Yes I did register there (not so easy because I don´t understand French) and tried the "Sunny Weather" but I realized that I like
the "Steve Original" better.
But my question above were more of the kind "Are there themes by Steve?"

You can replace the background picture with something else (picture.jpg in the images directory) and you can edit the CSS file (weatherstyle.css) to change the colours etc; a number of people have done this with their sites.

OK Thanks for that answer.
I´m not so good at HTML-editing but I now seems to understand a whole lot more.
I can change the layouts by editing the T-HTM´s and colors, fonts etc in the CSS-file, right?
