Temp. vs snow/rain

Today is the first time since I got my weather station/Cumulus combo running that it is cold.
As I type this the temperature is 26.3*F chill factor is 19.7*F. The problem is on the Cumulus screen it says "Forecast: Showery, becoming less settled" How do I correct it to say something like "Snowing, or snow possible? We have had snow off an on all day with a couple inches, while that isn't much, it sure the heck isn't raining.
Also, how do I get it to show snow lying?

The forecast isn't that sophisticated. You can edit the text, but you can't get it to differentiate between snow and rain.
To mark a day with snow lying or falling, use the 'weather diary'.

I know about the weather diary, but thought maybe there was a way to change a setting or two so that at or below a temperature of maybe 30*F it would indicate snow, instead of showers.
With that said, I have seen freezing rain at 8*F, and snow in the mid 40's Fahrenheit. But more times then not, when it is mid 20's Fahrenheit it is snow.

The Zambretti forecast doesn't take temperature into account at all. I'm afraid I have no plans to start tinkering with it!

Actually, why are you using the Zambretti/Cumulus forecast at all - isn't the Davis one better? I have no idea whether that does anything for snow, though.

Good question! When I setup Cumulus I guess I thought I needed Cumulus Forecast, and never gave it a second thought. I just unchecked it, so now I'll wait and see if things chance in the forecasting.
Thanks for your help Steve!

It is different for sure. But now that is has cleared off, I won't know how it handles snow/rain until later. However; with Cumulus Forecast checked it show the forecast as "Becoming fine"
Now without it being checked and using Davis forecasting, it now shows "Mostly clear with little temperature change"
