Another rainfall rollover issue

Post by SpHwk »

Hi Steve,

I just got my new VP2 set up at Christmas and have been using and enjoying Cumulus. Last night after the new year rollover Cumulus showed rainfall for tody, this month, and this year at -0.08. What i actually got was 0.08 in of rain since I started the station for last year.

After looking at the recent post from barleywine (https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6639) i tried modifying the Dec log file but obviously not the right field or log. Can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
John

You can use the built-in facility for correcting today's total (on the Edit menu). You might then need to restart Cumulus to get the monthly and annual totals to come into line.

Is the clock on your VP2 set correctly, by the way? The situation you describe could be caused by the station resetting its annual total at the 'wrong' time compared to the PC.

I got it adjusted via the edit menu, sorry I had not found that yet. As far as the clock goes the station and the computer were both within one minute of each other.
