I tried multiple searches and did not find it, but I'm sure this must have been asked before...
In the Configuration/Station page, the location includes an altitude field. Is this used to correct Barometric Pressure before display on the main screen, or is the display simply the number the weather station provides?

Re: Pressure and elevation
No correction is done for MSLP using the configured altitude, any necessary correction is done using data supplied by the station (other than the case of the work around for Fine Offset stations described here: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#Cumulu ... et_console)

Re: Pressure and elevation
I think most weather stations report the local pressure. There may be a setting on some to report "sea level" pressure.
I have a formula to calculate standard pressure based on elevation, if you are interested.

Re: Pressure and elevation
I'm not aware of any stations that don't allow you to display SLP (not that I'm familiar with a huge number). They wouldn't really be much use as weather stations if they didn't allow that. With Davis stations, you don't even have the option of displaying local pressure - sensibly, in my opinion!lklawrie wrote:I think most weather stations report the local pressure.
