new weather station helped needed please

hi all,
please bear with me as i am a complete novice, ive had a maplins weather station for christmas, and have it up and running fine, have downloaded the cumulus softwear, and am well impressed, what i cant seem to do is to upload my data to weatherunderground site, after siging up to them, can anybody tell me how this done, do i need my own web site etc, or if there are anyother weather web sites, which i can upload my data to ? any pointers would be great. many thanks

Assuming you've 'created' your station at WU, you just put your station ID and password into the appropriate boxes in the Cumulus internet settings, and tick 'enabled'. You can also upload your data to the other four web sites in the internet settings: CWOP, PWS Weather, WOW, and Weatherbug, as well as Awekas (see https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1015) and others. And you can of course have your own web site as well.

At the moment the weather underground site is down so why not try one of the others that Steve mentioned

Sign in, and then from the drop down menu at the top with your name, select 'My Weather Stations', then follow the instructions in the 'Add a station' section.

ive done that, yet still says not active, and the same on the met office web site grrrrrr , il have to redo it all i think just to make sure ive done it correctly ...iam sure il get there in the end , thanks again for your help

Sometime when you sign up to these kind of sites there is a activation period of many hours, you may need to wait until tomorrow for stuff to work.
