Adding images to the cumulus web pages

In very simple terms for me.
How do I go about adding images to the webpages in cumulus. For example some peoples websites have images either side of the weather data.
I am sorry for not being the brightest spark. And also how would I go about uploading extra fonts to my webserver for use in the banner etc

Do you mean 'static' images, or images which change according to the weather? Could you link to an example of the sort of thing you want?

Wow thats a fast responce.
I mean static images eg places around my area with weather related images just to make the page a little more interesting.
Thanks

If you can give a link to an example of what you want to do, it should be a simple matter of extracting the extra/changed code from the source and editing it into your templates - note that you have to edit the files with a 'T' in the name, e.g. indexT.htm.

Richard, there is no need to belittle yourself just because you do not know how to do something.
The Internet is there to assist you - make good use of it - you can find everything on the Internet...
Because you do not know how to create or modify a template (or a web page) does not mean you cannot do it.
Here is how you can start... Make yourself confortable in front of the computer and for the next minutes/hours 'nourish' your brain - you certainly will not be an expert after those hours but you will have learn something new... Go to the
W3Schools pages and click on the link 'Learn to Create Websites' - it is a tutorial on HTML (stands for
Hyper
Text
Markup
Language), a 'markup' language used to create web pages.
Your brain will thank you for that...

Thankyou for your replys.
I will try and learn more about html but I find it very very confusing. I am more mechanicaly minded than technicaly minded. Some of you guys have brilliant interactive websites and I enjoy browsing them.
I get confused with the css templates etc. If it was a static webpage then I would find ading images easy but I am not to sure how to link the images to the indexT or visa versa.
I will definately have a look at the link gemini provided and see how much more I can confuse myself
Thanks again.

Richard, designing a web page is not 'technical' as such, it is more 'mechanical' as all the pieces on a page must fit together ... otherwise the page looks like crap!
Indeed, when you start reading all the stuff about HTML, you will get confused, but then, take one step at the time, learn about a few markup tags, try them in a simple template and see the results. Then add a few more markup tags, again, check the results, and, so on, and, so on...
If you get so confused that your brain need a 'reboot', use one of the message thread in the Cumulus forums (or create a new thread) explaining where you are 'stuck' ... one of us, the 'learned' ones will come to your rescue...

Hi Richard
Mechanics good, not trying - bad
Rule number one applies. Dont reinvent wheels cos there are already loas of good ones about.
Have a look here for a free 'template' ...
http://www.freecsstemplates.org/
Each zip file contains a template of 4 bits, a style sheet, index page, license and an images folder
The CSS style sheet bit is just a single page of instructions that say how each piece of the page looks/feels.
The 'index' page is how it looks when displayed.
The license explains itself and the images folder contains all the images.
Load them into a folder and play around with the index page by modifying the css page bits to see what effects what.
change the colours and font style in the text, save each change and renew the index page to see the effects.
Once you see whats happening it all looks easier.
My pages look like this ...

Good luck and happy htmling
