Weather proofing a webcam

Post by mark1million »

Hello everyone,

How I got in to this Im not really sure but looking around the forums i would say im a very beginner :)

I came across this which peeked my interest about streaming webcam images to the webpages, not sure if its been posted here before or not, sorry if it has.

I plan on using TinCam as the streaming server, i currently run a couple of servers so streaming video shouldnt be much of a problem on it.

It provided me with some interesting reading
"Service Status:
The camera is currently bird turd free." I was lucky to ecape from that evil server that resides in your house. ARE YOU STILL ALIVE? However, I don't think I came away totally unscathed, I think it stole my IP address, ripped out my monitor resolution, server location and nicked the spare change in my lounge.
