Just you, as far as I'm aware. If it was a common issue, the forum would be full of posts about it.

What settings are you using now? Did you not have ftp logging turned on anyway (now that we've established that it is most likely an ftp issue)? I don't think you've uploaded an ftp log yet, so it's very hard to speculate on what the problem might be.

Hi,
I'm a newbie, and am having the exact same problem with my website.
I set up the basic site - step by step, and am (fairly) confident I got it right - though this was steep learning curve.
Everything else works just fine, except I only get the last 3 guages on my website.
I don't appear to be having any communication problems with my site.

I followed the thread of this conversation and didn't see any "fix", but I do notice that the original posters (Princy557) site now has a full page of guages.
Any revelations on what was happenning, or how it was fixed?

Assistance appreciated.

If it's the javascript gauges you're missing, then the most likely reason is that you haven't uploaded the necessary files as described in the help. A link to your web site would aid further diagnosis.

I'd appreciate an opinion.

As I said - I think I followed the instructions, and everything else seems to be working.

Cheers

The opinion is ....... you haven't uploaded any of the 'support' files as in the help and the wiki.

No dbimages/ folder stuff, no weatherstlye.css, no ..........

Hey, thanks for the help.

Sort of yes and no on that opinion.

I HAD uploaded the necessary file, but they weren't in the root directory.
Now moved to the root directory and all is fine.

Will end up being a messy old website with everything in root, but at least it looks right now.

Thanks again.

You don't have to put it in the root, it's entirely up to you. Mine isn't in the root: http://sanday.org.uk/weather/

Steve,
Sorry, but I still have a problem...

If I set ftplog on everytime I run the software, I get 100% every single web upload works.

If however I do not set the ftplog on, I seem to get missing bits of the pages.
The problem is as before first couple of lines are there but the remainder is missing.
This is not on every web upload ...

When I've been able to on a fail I have checked the PC files, they were complete and correct.

So perhaps the PC is just too fast for ftp :o

All I can think is that the ftplog is causing some delay in the transmit which is enough to
allow the ftp of the files to catch up... :?: :?: :?:

Sorry, I'm out of ideas. You'll have to use Wireshark or some other method of investigating your problem, or get your hosting provider to help. If the speed of transmitting the packets really is an issue, that sounds like a TCP/IP misconfiguration somewhere.

Hi Guys, I also am having the same problem, I just started my website 2 days ago and all the guages are showing but the Wind Compass, Guage and Rose are not showing an image. Also on the front page the moon is also not showing. Any suggestions would be great.

Other than that the software is great and also the use of uploading the data to a website.
Thanks Steve.

You don't appear to have an images/ directory and / or its contents (picture.jpg should be there and NOT in your 'root' directory).

Also you don't appear to be processing / uploading realtime.txt (a check box option) which powers the optional Flash wind gauges.

Why oh why is it so difficult for many of you to have a look at the information found in the Cumulus Wiki!

The Wiki contains answers for almost all of the questions asked! Many people have spent hours writing all that information!

So, please, have a look at the Cumulus Wiki

Whoa there !!!
If we ask for help - either help if you want - or Don't help - entirely up to you.
Why the aggro?

I have been reading the Wiki and the help files, as I'm sure have the other newbies.
This is steep learning curve, and try as I might - setting my website up as per the Instructions didn't work!

A bit more welcoming demeanor would be appreciated.

Could you let me know what was missing from the help instructions (or wrong) so that I can attempt to improve them, please?

Not according to your web server - http://members.optusnet.com.au/guilda1/images gives a '404 not found'.
